Working Principle

Finely ground slurry enters the inlet tank from the material inlet located in the middle of the settling zone. The lower end of the inclined installed water tank is the sedimentation zone of slurry classification. The spiral rotates with a low speed and stirs the slurry. It makes the fine particles suspend above and flow to the overflow side weir. It enters the next process, and the coarse particles settle to the bottom of the tank and are conveyed to the discharging port by the spiral to be discharged as returning sand. Usually spiral classifying equipment and mill compose a closed circuit and returns the coarse sand to the mill for regrinding.

The advantages of spiral classifying equipment are simple structure, stable and reliable work and convenient operation, which makes it easy to form a closed circuit operation with the mill of which the diameter is less than 3.2 m.
